Ready to learn how small emotions get bigger, and how big ones get smaller?
[MUSIC PLAYING] - Most of the time feelings start off small. They can change pretty easily and they're usually not too hard to handle. - But then there are the big feelings. You know the ones. Start off small then they get bigger and bigger and bigger real quick. - No worries, though. Knowing this about emotions can help us handle them better. So they aren't so difficult to deal it. - Let's let our bodies teach us what it's like to grow and shrink emotions. You're ready to do it with me? - Oh. If any part of this doesn't feel right for you, just pause. Its cool. And join again if and when you're ready. - Cool. Let's grow some anger together. Restless, fingers are jittery. - Bothered. Quick glances over each shoulder. - Irritated. Shoulders twitch like, "this shirt tag is scratchy." - Frustrated. Fists form in hands and shoulders go up. - Mad. One foot stomps and eyebrows tighten. - Angry. Both feet stomp, mouth grumbles and eyes focused. - Enraged. Fists tightens, elbows raise to wide, legs are tense, faces is tight and mouth yells, "AH!" [MAN SCREAMING] - All right. All right. It's all good. Now, let's shrink that imaginary anger. You good, Arn? - I'm good. - Enraged. Fist tighten, elbows raise to wide, legs are tense, faces is tight and mouth feels, "Ah!" [MAN SCREAMING] - Angry. Both feet stomp, mouth grumbles and eyes focused. - Mad. One foot stomps and eyebrows tighten. - Frustrated. Fist form in hands and shoulders go up. - Irritate. Shoulders twitch like, "this shirt tag is scratchy." - Bothered. Quick glances over each shoulder. - Restless. Fingers are jittery. - That was intense. But we handled it together. Right? - Yeah. Now, let's grow some happiness. You ready, Arn? - I'm ready. - Calm. Eyes open and look forward. Long exhale. - Hopeful. Eyes look up, hands open, but still rest a little bigger. - Pleased. Slight smile. - Delighted. You got that good news look. Big inhale and open mouth. - Cheerful. Big smile. Even smile with your eyes. - Enthusiastic. Hands in arms. Pump them. - Thrill. Whole body celebration. Make it ginormous. Jump, leap, dab, scream. [EXCITED SCREAM] - And now, let's bring it back down, reverse the shrink and settle right back to fine. - Thrilled. Whole body celebration. Make a ginormous. Jump, leap, dab, scream. [EXCITED SCREAM] - Enthusiastic. Hands in arms. Pump them. - Cheerful. Big smile. Even smile with your eyes - Delighted. You got that good news look. Big inhale and open mouth. - Pleased. Slight smile. - Hopeful. Eyes look up, hands open, but still rest a little bigger. - Calm. Eyes open and look forward. Long exhale. It's nice to know that moods can start small and grow. And it's really helpful to know that they can shrink, as well. - That's what it's all about being Blazer Fresh. [MUSIC PLAYING]
