Whether you’re snuggling in your jammies on the couch, or in the backyard with a fire pit, a sheet, and a projector, we have scared up some fun ideas for all you ghouls and boys! From Halloween movie recommendations to tasty treats, we got you BOO!


Movies Everyone Can Agree On
Get into the Halloween spirit with some kid-friendly movies to set the tone for your evening. Even mummies and daddies will enjoy these spooky, ooky, kooky flicks!


  • Super Monsters Save Halloween
    Your littlest monsters will love this heartwarming tale.The Super Monsters help a boy who is not too keen on the scary parts of Halloween learn that not all the creepy parts of Halloween are very creepy at all! As a matter of fact, most of the holiday is just pretend. This is a wonderful movie for your little one who is hesitant about participating in Halloween activities.
  • Toy Story of Terror
    Tapping into a perennial favorite is a good bet! Buzz, Woody and the Toy Story gang are at a roadside motel when one by one, Toy Story pals start to disappear. How will they solve this mystery? Lots of silliness ensues along with a fun jump scare or two to get your adrenaline going. This will be a family holiday favorite!

    While not a true “Halloween” movie, this beautiful Disney classic celebrates the Day of the Dead (Dia De Los Muertos) a Mexican celebration of life and death that occurs traditionally on November 1, the day after Halloween. Learn more about Day of the Dead and incorporate some of the gorgeous Mexican traditions into your holidays!
  • Abbott and Costello Meet FrankensteinIf you want to get away from animation, introduce your kiddos to the classic kings of physical comedy, Abbot and Costello. Filmed in 1948, this movie will have your family howling with laughter as the comedy team meets Frankenstein. Then you can watch their antics as they confront Dracula, the Wolfman, and other classic creepy characters! Tons of fun for the whole family!

Halloween movie night screams for yummy, crunchy, monster-themed munchies! Put the candy down for a minute and dig into some healthy snacks that will be sure to delight even the most devilishly discriminating of palates. PRO TIP: Check out these handled storage caddies that instantly become snack caddies! Keep the mess to a minimum and customize one for each of your kiddos for year round fun. Fill the big section with popcorn or chips—and one of the smaller sections is the perfect drink holder! Easy to clean and store, we think this is a frightfully good idea!


  • Hot Dog MummiesThese adorable hand-held Hot Dog Mummies are so easy to make and only involve two ingredients! These will be party-pleasers for your hungry crowd of trick-or-treaters. Easy to adapt for your veggie lovers, wrap up some tofu pups as an alternative.

It’s family night, so break out the games! Are you tired of the same old games? Introduce some new games to the mix that everyone will love!


  • Pumpkin TwisterThis DIY pumpkin twister is so easy to make and tons of fun for the whole family! Cut out the pumpkin shapes, make a spinner, and your family room is transformed into a pumpkin patch!
  • Eyeball DigAll ages will love this creepy sensory game! You’ll need a lot of spaghetti, a large bucket or even a baby pool, and some ping pong balls decorated as eyes or super ball eyes from the dollar store. We love the idea of a baby pool full of cold, slimy spaghetti with lots of eyeballs in it for the kiddos to find! Blindfold your victim and let them feel around in the ooky, slippery worms for eyeballs!
  • Wrap the MummyUsing toilet paper, divide your family into teams. Each team has a roll of toilet paper and has to wrap their teammate in toilet paper like a mummy! Use a timer and see how far each team gets. A judge can determine the winner. Kids of all ages love this silly game and no special equipment is required!
  • Halloween CharadesBring your supernatural acting skills for this delightfully spooky version of this family favorite. Print out these free charades cards and get ready for a ghostly good time! Use a jack-o-lantern bucket or a witch hat to hold the cards. Everyone will have a shriekingly good time!
